A programok interakt\u00edv m\u00f3don zajlanak, a r\u00e9sztvev\u0151k<br>b\u00e1rmikor megoszthatj\u00e1k \u00e9s megbesz\u00e9lhetik felvet\u00e9seiket, \u00f6tleteiket a kl\u00edmaperekkel \u00e9s az<br>\u00e9ghajlatv\u00e1ltoz\u00e1ssal \u00f6sszef\u00fcgg\u00e9sben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\/\/<br>PER &#8211; The climate crisis in the dock &#8211; a series of interactive sessions for secondary<br>school students<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>In the second half of the 2023\/2024 school year, Friends of the Earth Hungary started a<br>series of interactive climate-related activities for secondary school students across the<br>country entitled &#8220;PER &#8211; The climate crisis in the dock&#8221;. The programme involved 9<br>institutions, where a total of 11 sessions were delivered to 391 students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The programme consists of two parts &#8211; a lecture and a situation game. During the lecture, we<br>explore why it is important to talk about climate change and the difference between past heat<br>waves and current global warming. Then we get to know international and national<br>environmental policy goals, discussing what tools are available to us if the strategies and<br>regulations created by decision-makers fail to materialise and threaten our rights to a clean<br>and healthy environment. Through illustrative examples, we will introduce participants to the<br>world of climate initiatives launched by social actors.<br>In the second half of the session, we look for the real culprits of the climate crisis through<br>a situation game. In the game, we will model a climate litigation case where participants have<br>certain roles e.g. stakeholders of companies, capitalism, consumers, different governments<br>etc. and prove in a court trial why they cannot be held responsible for the cause of climate<br>change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The session ends with reflection on the lecture and the situation game, highlighting the real<br>causes of the climate crisis and possible solutions to help mitigate its consequences.
