Civil szervezeteknek sz\u00f3l\u00f3 foglalkoz\u00e1s sorozat<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n A Magyar Term\u00e9szetv\u00e9d\u0151k Sz\u00f6vets\u00e9ge \u00e1ltal szervezett k\u00e9pz\u00e9s \u00e9s konferencia a hazai \u00e9s nemzetk\u00f6zi k\u00f6rnyezetpolitika hi\u00e1nyoss\u00e1gainak megvitat\u00e1sa, a tagcsoportok \u00e9s bevont szervezetek lobbi lehet\u0151s\u00e9geinek felt\u00e1r\u00e1sa, valamint az \u00e9ghajltav\u00e9delem jogi eszk\u00f6zeinek bemutat\u00e1sa volt. The programs brought together legal experts, environmental activists, representatives of various organizations, and young people to develop strategies for improving climate policy and explore potential legal cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A total of 93 people participated in the two events.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Training Highlights<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n During the first training, participants received a comprehensive overview of current legal options, particularly focusing on planned obsolescence and its environmental impacts. Participants were encouraged to engage in dialogue and share their experiences regarding climate pressures and trends related to the digital world in their regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The second part of the event was divided into two sections. In section 1 participants learned about international and domestic environmental policy goals and discussed ways to motivate decision-makers toward real solutions and more effective environmental policies. Then participants were divided into three groups to discuss their ideas on changes they wanted to see in current climate policy. Each group presented their ideas and drafted a new proposal as a potential solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In section 2 we played a situation game that modeled a climate litigation case focusing on the lack of commitment to addressing the climate crisis. Participants assumed roles such as decision-makers, companies, environmentalists, and youth, presenting and defending their positions. This exercise provided practical experience and deepened participants’ understanding of the complexities and perspectives involved in climate litigation, helping them appreciate different viewpoints and the challenges of advocating for environmental positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Conference Highlights<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n During the conference, participants gained insights into national and international environmental policy. Through illustrative examples, they learned about climate-related litigation as a legal tool, enhancing their legal capacity in climate protection. Participants also gained an understanding of the role of environmental ombudsmen and the possibilities for judicial enforcement of climate protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The presentations emphasized the rights and interests of future generations within the context of litigation and highlighted the limitations of appealing to the Constitutional Court, especially in light of the legal reforms post-2010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The event facilitated networking among participants from various organizations, including public bodies, scientific institutes, ministries, authorities, and NGOs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The training and conference increased participants’ awareness and knowledge of climate policies and climate litigation. They facilitated the identification of shortcomings in environmental policy and proposed potential solutions, emphasizing the importance of intergenerational equity.
